This large hand carved yak bone guru bead features a detailed skull (kapala) carving, inspired by traditional Tibetan Buddhist symbolism.
In Himalayan Buddhist culture, skull imagery represents impermanence, transformation, and spiritual awakening, reminding practitioners of the transient nature of life.
This piece is designed as a guru bead (center bead) for a mala, traditionally placed at the end of a 108 prayer bead necklace. Because of its large size, it can also be used as a pendant or focal bead for custom mala making.
The carving shows traditional Himalayan craftsmanship with beautiful aged tones and natural bone texture.
